Associate Production Manager (Audio-Visual Events)

Location: Brampton, Ontario, Canada; onsite event venue work with travel of up to 50% and irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Salary: CAD 65,000–80,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage the technical and logistical elements of small productions or assigned portions of larger events.
• Create and deploy work plans, coordinate equipment and labor requirements, and schedule deliveries and pickups.
• Supervise audio-visual setup, operation, and dismantling while troubleshooting equipment and operational issues.
• Monitor event progress, project risks, cost controls, technical standards, and client satisfaction.
• Coordinate with Production Management, Operations, producers, clients, and onsite event personnel.
• Complete post-event reporting, confirm workforce hours, return outsourced equipment, and support technician training.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of audio-visual or related technical experience and 1+ year of onsite crew experience.
• Strong technical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, client relationship, written, and oral communication skills.
• Experience with MS Office.
• Ability to manage complex functions in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure.
• Ability to travel up to 50% and work in hotel or event venue environments with exposure to heights, noise, outdoor conditions, and electrical equipment.

Nice to have

• Venue audio-visual experience and a strong technical background.
• CAD or Vectorworks skills.
