TL;DR
Field Service Technician IV (Deployable) (Aerospace & Defense): Maintaining, repairing, diagnosing, and supporting advanced aerospace and defense systems at Cannon AFB and customer locations with an accent on complex troubleshooting, electrical wiring, field project management, and technical training. Focus on leading deployed technical teams, developing customer and internal training programs, and solving challenging equipment issues during extended OCONUS rotations.
Location: Clovis, New Mexico, at Cannon AFB; frequent travel to customer locations, including international and OCONUS deployments

What you will do
- Execute maintenance, repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting on advanced aerospace and defense systems.
- Manage complex field service projects independently and maintain detailed equipment and activity records.
- Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to field service teams.
- Develop and deliver technical training for customers and internal personnel.
- Manage spare-parts and tool inventory and prepare technical reports for senior management.
- Travel frequently to customer sites and deploy to international operating locations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and at least 5 years of technician or related experience; a relevant higher-level degree may substitute for experience.
- Advanced troubleshooting and electrical wiring skills, with the ability to interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and publications.
- Current and active Secret U.S. security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
- Ability to travel outside the continental United States, deploy OCONUS for extended periods, and work an approximate 90/90 rotation.
- Current valid passport and ability to obtain international travel visas, pass a pre-deployment medical assessment, and meet DoD and Combatant Command requirements.
- Ability to work extended hours, holidays, and shifts; lift up to 50 pounds; work at heights and in confined or noisy environments; and follow safety protocols.
Nice to have
- Associate's degree in a related field.
- FCC or FCC General Radio Operator License, Security+, Network+, CCNA, or A+ certification.
- Experience with spectrometers, oscilloscopes, pilot static equipment gauges, technical team leadership, or large-scale projects.
- Background in aerospace and defense, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. military.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
