TL;DR
Systems Engineer 4 (MBSE) (integrated avionics and communications systems): Designing and developing mission-critical defense systems with an accent on model-based systems engineering, simulation, and system validation. Focus on resolving complex technical issues, developing test architectures and procedures, and improving system, design, and release quality across multiple project teams.
Location: Huntsville, USA; positions are also available in Austin, Texas. Onsite and hybrid work markers are specified.

What you will do
- Design and develop integrated avionics and communications systems for new defense programs.
- Provide expert systems engineering analysis and judgment for technical products and systems.
- Resolve complex technical issues and conduct advanced research.
- Plan and synchronize engineering activities across multiple project teams while improving architecture, design, code, system, and release quality.
- Develop system test plans, procedures, testable requirements, test-bed architectures, and detailed test cases.
- Simulate end-user operations, execute tests, document results in lifecycle management tools, and mentor junior systems engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an engineering-related field.
- Active Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship are mandatory.
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering tools and methodologies.
- Experience with simulation tools and techniques for system design, analysis, and validation.
- Ability to apply systems engineering concepts, practices, and procedures to defend technical approaches and designs.
Nice to have
- Experience with Army Command and Control systems such as IBCS, FAAD, or THAAD.
- Three or more years of experience with tactical data links, including Link 16; DoD radio communications systems; or IP network design and maintenance.
- Safe Engineering experience and knowledge of the full product lifecycle.
- CompTIA certifications or progress toward INCOSE ASEP or another systems engineering professional certification.
