Engineering Technician, Drafter 2 (AutoCAD)

Location: Onsite at the Lone Star site in Texarkana, Texas

Salary: $61,200–$91,800 per year

What you will do

• Develop technical drawings, 3D models, and bills of materials for manufacturing engineering and production.
• Support design modifications, product development, and improvements focused on accuracy and manufacturability.
• Prepare engineering cost estimates, bills of materials, and technical proposal content for bidding activities.
• Administer the electronic drawing database and maintain record drawings and engineering orders.
• Conduct technical data reviews, support technical writing and process-flow creation, and participate in continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders while following quality and safety standards.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree from a technical school, AutoCAD certification, or applicable experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Inventor for technical drawings, 3D models, and bills of materials.
• Ability to interpret technical data packages, drawings, and specifications.
• Ability to prepare cost estimates for materials and manufacturing processes.
• Clear technical writing, strong attention to detail, and organized documentation-management skills.
• Onsite presence in Texarkana, Texas is required.

Nice to have

• 5 or more years of applicable experience.
• Experience in design, manufacturing, or munitions manufacturing.
