CAD Drafter (Renewable Energy)

Location: Goodhue, Minnesota, USA; no travel requirement.

Salary: $50,000–$80,000 per year, plus bonus potential.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain electrical design drawings, construction documents, and 2D/3D models for renewable energy projects.
• Create equipment layouts, wire routing plans, installation details, conduit and conductor schedules, and material takeoffs.
• Coordinate design deliverables with engineering, preconstruction, procurement, project management, and construction teams.
• Prepare wire precut packages, validate quantities, and identify discrepancies between designs, procurement assumptions, and field requirements.
• Support field teams with design clarifications, constructability reviews, drawing issue resolution, and as-built documentation.
• Improve drafting standards, templates, assemblies, design processes, and project execution practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma and an AAS degree or diploma in design or drafting.
• At least 1 year of relevant electrical drafting experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
• Experience with Autodesk Revit for electrical design and other disciplines.
• Basic understanding of architectural, electrical, civil, and structural engineering drawings and construction practices.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; employment participates in E-Verify.
