Location: Plainfield, Illinois, United States; onsite role.

Salary: $58,619–$70,342 annually

What you will do

• Produce detail drawings for customer approval, fabrication, and construction using applicable design codes, company standards, and customer specifications.
• Create drawings and bills of material for plate structures, foundations, structural components, and associated piping.
• Ensure designs are safe for field erection and support constructable solutions.
• Compare drawings and bills of material with as-sold estimates and report discrepancies to the project team.
• Run programs, use document management systems, and collaborate through project productivity tools.
• Estimate task durations and commit to definitive delivery deadlines.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma plus at least one year of post-high-school education, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in parametric 3D design using platforms such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Fusion 360.
• Knowledge of steel detailing practices and applicable industry standards.
• Skills in geometry, trigonometry, unit conversions, quantity take-offs, and basic bills of material.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, multitasking, and deadline-management skills.

• Associate degree or two-year technical degree.
