Intern Engineering - Advanced Manufacturing

What you will do

• Support innovative technology implementation and process improvements across fabrication and paint operations.
• Map manufacturing processes with Plant Operations and Corporate Engineering teams and identify improvement opportunities.
• Apply lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods to reduce waste and standardize processes.
• Support capital expenditure justification for manufacturing technologies and process improvements.
• Contribute to Industry 4.0 initiatives involving smart devices, digital platforms, and enhanced OEE data capture and display.
• Update work instructions and operator guides using Pro-E models, drawings, and templates, while collaborating with shop-floor personnel and other facilities.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Understanding or working knowledge of Pro-E and/or AutoCAD.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Clear and concise oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week, during the summer program from May/June through August/September 2027.

Nice to have

• Completion of sophomore year.
• CAD or CAE experience supporting design-for-manufacturing improvements.
