TL;DR
Sales Consultant, Trauma (Orthopaedics) (Medical Device Sales): Developing surgeon and hospital-account relationships and driving trauma product sales across the Louisville territory with an accent on account planning, surgical case coverage, and customer education. Focus on supporting surgeons and operating-room personnel, converting new accounts, managing competitive threats, and maintaining territory inventory.

Location: Louisville, Kentucky, United States; residence in or ability to relocate to the posted territory required.

What you will do

  • Prospect surgeons and healthcare accounts, qualify opportunities, and develop account-specific sales strategies.
  • Drive sales of assigned trauma products and achieve territory business-plan objectives and quotas.
  • Present and demonstrate surgical products and support their proper utilization.
  • Build relationships with surgeons, operating-room personnel, buyers, and other hospital stakeholders.
  • Provide support during surgical cases and deliver in-services and workshops for clinical staff.
  • Manage territory inventory, promotional materials, customer needs, follow-up, and competitive threats.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of professional or related experience; or an associate degree/medical certification and at least 5 years; or at least 8 years of related experience.
  • Recently transitioned from active military duty with at least 3 years of professional or related experience may also qualify.
  • Valid driver’s license issued in the United States required.
  • Ability to work in a laboratory and operating-room environment and travel, including possible weekend or overnight travel.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, influencing, critical-thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Functional knowledge of human anatomy and physiology and basic knowledge of surgery; surgical-instrument and procedure knowledge preferred.
