Research Associate I, Pharmaceutical Development ~ Contract

Location: Brisbane, California — onsite

Salary: $40–$55 per hour

Biopharmaceutical company developing small-molecule therapies for cancer and immune disorders through E3 ligase research and DNA-encoded library technology.

What you will do

• Prepare and characterize preclinical formulations for multiple drug discovery programs.
• Perform stability and solubility testing using HPLC and UPLC.
• Support pre-formulation and formulation development for oral solid dosage forms.
• Provide hands-on scientific and technical support from early discovery through clinical trial-enabling studies.
• Contribute to internal and external presentations and publications.

Requirements

• BS/BA or higher in chemistry, pharmaceutics, engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of industry experience.
• Thorough understanding of basic chemistry principles and strong quantitative laboratory skills, including weighing, pipetting, and volumetric glassware.
• Strong basic HPLC/UPLC skills and understanding.
• Experience handling potent compounds safely.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills with proficiency in Microsoft 365.

Nice to have

• Experience with XRD or mass spectrometry.
