Research Associate, Process Development (Oligonucleotide Therapeutics)

Location: US-CO-Boulder; onsite role

Salary: $76,080–$118,875 per year, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop process chemistry methods for producing milligram-to-gram quantities of oligonucleotide active pharmaceutical ingredients.
• Assist with synthetic route development, preparation, separation, purification, analysis, quantification, and resolution of oligonucleotide process components.
• Execute process development experiments, document results, prepare process descriptions, and write technical reports.
• Optimize and scale laboratory processes for transfer to mid- and kilo-scale GMP manufacturing.
• Execute Design of Experiments and Proven Acceptable Range studies for oligonucleotide synthesis, chromatography, purification, and isolation.
• Support internal technology transfer and client CMC submissions while following SOPs and cGMP requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or university degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related science, or equivalent education combined with at least two years of pharmaceutical experience.
• Experience or knowledge in oligonucleotide synthesis, purification, ultrafiltration, conjugation, and lyophilization is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple projects and meet time-sensitive objectives.
• Strong mathematics, documentation, communication, operational troubleshooting, and laboratory process skills.
• Proficiency with computer software, hardware applications, Microsoft products, and the Internet.
