Sales Manager (Retail)

Location: Minneapolis, MN, United States; requires regular in-store field work and a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Salary: $62,100–$73,100 per year, plus eligibility for corporate bonus programs and vehicle reimbursement.

What you will do

• Build relationships with major home center retail partners and advise customers through metrics updates and business reviews.
• Analyze market opportunities and develop retail sales, marketing, merchandising, and event plans.
• Manage, schedule, delegate, train, and provide feedback to Merchandisers.
• Recruit, interview, and hire Merchandisers while coaching their development and career paths.
• Support proper in-store merchandising of Scotts product lines and manage the role’s budget and expenditures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in retail, merchandising, or account management.
• Experience using sales forecasting tools and the ability to guide and mentor Merchandisers.
• Problem-solving and service-oriented approach.
• Current valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to routinely walk, stand, climb an 8–12 foot ladder, lift up to 45 lbs, work outdoors in varying weather, and maintain a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
