Retail Assistant Store Manager of Community (Retail)

Location: Encinitas, California, USA; onsite at the flagship retail store

Salary: $23.75–$27.75 per hour, plus team pooled commission

What you will do

• Plan and execute community programs connecting the store with local fitness, wellness, and lifestyle communities.
• Partner with the HQ Community Manager and General Manager to align initiatives with brand standards and business goals.
• Build relationships through team sweats, in-store events, community partnerships, and product storytelling.
• Lead and develop the store team, supporting hiring, onboarding, training, engagement, and performance.
• Manage customer experience, sales-floor execution, product operations, inventory handling, and visual merchandising standards.
• Support scheduling, labor management, expense control, safety practices, and compliance with local and state labor laws.

Requirements

• Available for morning and/or evening 8-hour shifts, five days per week, including at least one weekend day.
• 4+ years of progressive leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience leading retail sales teams and achieving sales targets through planning, execution, and motivation.
• Strong communication, prioritization, time management, coaching, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, visual merchandising, and sales techniques.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 30 pounds and safely perform standing, bending, kneeling, ladder, and extended in-store movement requirements.
