Construction Manager (Heavy Civil Infrastructure)

Salary: $130,000–$200,000 per year ($63–$96 per hour)

What you will do

• Oversee assigned construction packages or groups of contracts from preconstruction through closeout.
• Administer construction contracts, including submittals, requests for information, notices, correspondence, change proposals, and payment applications.
• Review critical-path schedules, assess delay and change impacts, and track cost, progress, quantities, and forecasts.
• Coordinate inspection, materials testing, quality assurance, safety, and environmental compliance activities.
• Lead progress meetings, site walks, issue-resolution sessions, and coordination with contractors, designers, utilities, railroads, airports, and transit operators.
• Manage field documentation, claim support, punch-list resolution, as-built turnover, warranties, commissioning, and transition to operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, construction engineering, engineering technology, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• 10+ years of construction management experience on large, complex heavy-civil infrastructure projects valued at more than $500 million.
• Experience overseeing contractor performance on behalf of an owner or agency and resolving field issues and non-conformances.
• Experience administering publicly funded construction contracts and evaluating change proposals for entitlement, cost, and schedule impact.
• Ability to review CPM schedules, critical paths, logic, sequencing, and delay impacts.
• Working knowledge of construction safety and quality requirements, including OSHA construction standards, plus experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, Unifier, Kahua, or similar software and Microsoft Office 365.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or certifications and licenses such as CCM, PMP, PE, or OSHA 30-Hour Construction.
• Experience leading construction packages exceeding $100 million or programs exceeding $1 billion.
• Experience with highways, roadways, bridges, rail transit, operating airports, or water and wastewater facilities.
• Experience leading construction management and inspection staff.
• Experience with Power BI, Oracle Cloud Analytics, or other KPI dashboard software.
