Project Scheduler (Heavy Civil Infrastructure)

Salary: $90,000–$165,000 per year ($43–$79 per hour)

What you will do

• Build and maintain integrated CPM schedules covering design through project turnover, including logic links, resource or cost loading, and cost-control coding.
• Collect field progress data, update schedules, and produce look-aheads, variance reports, earned-value forecasts, Gantt charts, S-curves, and KPI dashboards.
• Perform critical-path, what-if, recovery-plan, and alternative-delivery analyses.
• Integrate permitting, utility relocations, third-party interfaces, and long-lead procurement dependencies.
• Assess schedule risk, quantify exposure with tools such as Monte Carlo simulations, and track mitigation actions.
• Support change orders and claims through time impact analyses, schedule governance, data-quality controls, and mentoring of junior schedulers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, construction, structural, transportation, systems, or related engineering.
• 5+ years of scheduling experience on large, complex heavy-civil infrastructure projects valued above $500 million.
• Experience with CPM baseline development, resource or cost loading, progress updates, critical-path analysis, and variance analysis.
• Ability to interpret project scope, drawings, and constraints and convert them into logic-driven, sequenced, resource-aware schedules.
• Proficiency with project, construction, and risk-management software such as Primavera P6, TILOS, MS Project, Primavera Risk, or Acumen Fuse, plus Microsoft Office 365.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, multitasking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related engineering discipline.
• PSP, PMI-SP, PMI-RMP, PMP, or CCM certification.
• Owner’s representative experience on major highway, bridge, transit, aviation, or water and wastewater projects.
• Experience maintaining integrated master schedules across multiple contracts or programs exceeding $1 billion.
• Experience with delay claims, entitlement, dispute resolution, or time impact analysis.
