Sr. Technical Program Manager (AI/IoT)

Location: Hybrid role based in Oak Brook, Illinois, United States; programs span Oak Brook, Pune, and Taipei.

Base pay: $129,700–$226,900 per year, plus benefits, 401(k) contribution, and eligibility for a short-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Define cross-functional strategy and scoping standards for organization-wide engineering programs across hardware, software, AI, and global sites.
• Manage the engineering program portfolio, including commitments, capacity, dependencies, status, and prioritization.
• Translate contracts, growth targets, and customer deployments into engineering capacity plans and communicate tradeoffs to directors, VPs, and the CTO.
• Design dashboards, cadences, KPIs, and reporting frameworks for portfolio health and strategic decision-making.
• Lead high-risk, multi-site customer deployments, product launches, and operational scaling initiatives.
• Set communication standards, build consensus in ambiguous situations, and mentor other technical program managers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, A-CSM, or equivalent certification.
• 10+ years of program or project management experience in software/AI engineering, hardware-software integration, or infrastructure environments.
• Experience leading multi-team, multi-site programs and mentoring program or project managers in matrixed organizations.
• Experience with agile/Scrum environments, Jira, Confluence, and related program management processes.
• Strong technical judgment and communication skills, with experience briefing director, VP, and CTO-level leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, or ArgoCD/GitOps.
• Experience driving AI, developer experience, developer productivity, or internal platform initiatives at organizational scale.
• Background in hardware engineering, NPD, embedded systems, IoT, connected homes, or cloud-native platforms.
• Experience establishing or scaling a TPM function or PMO.
