Manager, Duty Drawback & Trade Recovery Programs (Customs)

Location: Hybrid position based in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin, or Mettawa, Illinois

Salary: $103,200–$144,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Build and lead the U.S.-focused duty drawback and customs duty recovery program.
• Assess existing processes and providers, select and implement enterprise drawback software, and build an import/export matching database.
• Develop SOPs, internal controls, audit documentation, KPIs, and recovery forecasts.
• Prepare and manage drawback claims, accelerated payment processes, post-summary corrections, protests, reconciliations, and related recovery programs.
• Lead responses to drawback audits, desk reviews, and CBP information requests.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, Customs Brokers, Legal, Trade Compliance, software providers, consultants, and customs authorities; train internal personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, International Trade, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in duty drawback, customs compliance, or trade recovery, including at least 3 years managing U.S. duty drawback claims.
• Experience with ACE, customs entry data analysis, and duty drawback software.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Experience leading projects and implementing business processes.
• Ability to work in the hybrid arrangement based in Fond Du Lac, WI, or Mettawa, IL.

Nice to have

• Licensed Customs Broker certification.
• Experience implementing drawback software platforms and working with manufacturing or substitution drawback programs.
• Experience with SAP, Power BI, SQL, or comparable analytics tools.
• Experience transitioning outsourced processes to internal teams.
