Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: On-site in Nogales, Mexico; up to 25% travel, mainly local or domestic.

What you will do

• Execute supplier quality activities for purchased products, including supplier approval, product qualification, FAI, nonconformance management, corrective actions, and supplier surveillance.
• Act as the liaison between engineering and suppliers to ensure purchased products meet MKS specifications.
• Serve as the single point of contact for supplier quality issues within the assigned business unit.
• Manage supplier corrective actions and key process improvements.
• Collaborate with category management, procurement, design engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations, and quality teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field or engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in quality, supplier quality, or manufacturing engineering.
• Strong project management skills.
• Experience with quality tools including FMEA, SPC, GR&R, CAPA/RCA, process validation, and auditing.
• Ability to work on-site at the Nogales, Mexico facility and travel up to 25%.

Nice to have

• Direct manufacturing experience in mechanical, electrical, or PCBA environments.
• Practical experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• ISO lead auditor certification, ASQ CQA certification, or equivalent.
