Lead, Development Planning, Production (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite near Long Beach, California, United States

Base salary: $150,000–$240,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the strategic design and build-out of manufacturing and production facility infrastructure in partnership with Production Engineering.
• Develop line layouts and production environments that improve flexibility, cost efficiency, throughput, speed, safety, and productivity.
• Support long-term master planning, including decisions about where engineering programs should be located and how to address long-lead requirements.
• Challenge layouts and engineering decisions against long-term operational and growth objectives.
• Hold architects, engineers, contractors, and internal partners accountable for the data and deliverables required by programs.
• Own the facilities scope of line build-out projects from concept through commissioning and govern production facility standards across sites.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or critical infrastructure design.
• Degree in architecture, engineering, or construction.
• Deep technical fluency in production line design, infrastructure requirements, and manufacturing facility build-out.
• Experience with master planning, long-lead requirements, layout optimization, facility standards, and production-facility scaling.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, drive progress with incomplete information, and manage internal and external stakeholders.
• Must be located near Long Beach, California, and meet U.S. government ITAR eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.
