Staff Product Designer (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in Reno, NV; New York, NY; or San Ramon, CA. Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Salary: $168,000–$210,000 annually; select New York and California locations may use an alternate range of $184,500–$231,000.

What you will do

• Reimagine order-management and electronic-trading workflows for complex trading activity.
• Design configurable workspaces, dashboards, exception-management flows, alerts, and actionable decision-support experiences.
• Build automated, deterministic, and AI-assisted trading experiences.
• Prototype and iterate with Claude, Cursor, and Claude Code, including exploration of edge cases and interaction patterns.
• Translate concepts into polished, production-ready Figma designs and collaborate with engineering on scalable implementation.
• Contribute to design systems, interaction patterns, prompt libraries, AI design practices, customer research, usability testing, and designer mentorship.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience designing and shipping successful digital product experiences.
• Strong interaction design, systems thinking, visual design, prototyping, storytelling, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience with complex workflows, data-intensive applications, or enterprise software platforms.
• Active AI-native workflow experience with tools such as Claude, Cursor, or Claude Code.
• Experience collaborating with engineering, gathering customer insights, and translating research into product improvements.
• U.S. work authorization without the need for employer sponsorship is required. A shareable portfolio is also required.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, investment management, trading platforms, or complex financial products.
• Experience with user research, usability testing, design systems, and design-to-code workflows.
• Proficiency with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and CSS.
• Experience designing AI-native products with agentic behavior, transparency patterns, confidence cues, and user controls.
