Senior Mechanical Engineer (Marine Defense)

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio, USA; onsite engineering role

What you will do

• Plan, design, analyze, and test mechanical systems for performance, reliability, compliance, cost, and schedule requirements.
• Coordinate engineering tasks as an individual contributor and as part of cross-functional project teams.
• Create engineering documentation and manage mechanical engineering projects from concept through deployment on the manufacturing floor.
• Investigate engineering technologies to improve manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate with engineering professionals, associates, customers, and vendors.
• Mentor and lead other engineering professionals while demonstrating strong problem-solving and professional engineering practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; defense industry experience is preferred.
• Required proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, solid modeling, and finite element analysis.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and work independently or as part of a team.
• Demonstrated leadership, initiative, accountability, and problem-solving capabilities.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with MIL specifications, Autodesk Inventor, mechanical shock analysis, testing, and project management.
