Coordinator Pharmacy Inventory (Pharmacy Operations)

Healthcare organization operating hospital pharmacy and central fill pharmacy services.

What you will do

• Manage pharmaceutical procurement, receiving, storage, distribution, reverse distribution, recalls, outdates, returns, and credits.
• Monitor hospital medication inventory, floor stock, automated dispensing cabinets, and medication needs across departments.
• Maintain purchasing records, invoices, inventory databases, and pharmacy supply chain documentation.
• Administer the 340B medication inventory replacement process, including split-billing records and regulatory compliance.
• Support drug budget monitoring, patient and department charges, credits, billing information, CDM maintenance, and discrepancy resolution.
• Perform pharmacy technician duties and safely operate assigned material-handling equipment in the central fill pharmacy.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program, or three years of relevant hospital pharmacy technician experience in lieu of formal training.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or National Health Career Association Pharmacy Technician Certification (ExCPT), unless working at the Central Distribution Service location.
• Upon hire and before the start date, registration as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Pharmacy Technician through the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy is required, effective June 28, 2026.
• Ability to comply with federal and state laws, pharmacy standards, 340B requirements, HIPAA, privacy policies, and information security policies.
