Coordinator Pharmacy Inventory

What you will do

• Manage pharmaceutical procurement, receiving, storage, distribution, reverse distribution, recalls, returns, outdates, and credits.
• Monitor hospital medication inventory, floor stock, automated dispensing cabinet inventory, and medication needs across departments.
• Maintain purchase records, invoices, inventory databases, and supply chain purchasing activities.
• Administer inventory replacement for 340B medications, including split-billing records and regulatory compliance.
• Support pharmacy budget monitoring by reporting price, contract, and purchase-volume changes.
• Process patient and department charges, credits, billing information, and inventory discrepancies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program, or three years of relevant hospital pharmacy technician experience in lieu of formal training.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or National Health Career Association Pharmacy Technician Certification (ExCPT), unless working at the Central Distribution Service location.
• For Pennsylvania roles, registration as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Pharmacy Technician with the PA State Board of Pharmacy is required upon hire and before the start date, effective June 28, 2026.
• Ability to comply with federal and state pharmacy laws, 340B regulations, HIPAA, privacy policies, and information security requirements.
