TL;DR
Lead AI Architect (Generative AI/Cloud): Designing scalable, secure AI ecosystems covering data pipelines, model storage, inference engines, and enterprise integrations with an accent on MLOps, cloud-native architecture, and AI safety. Focus on architecting low-latency distributed systems, implementing RAG and human-in-the-loop guardrails, and optimizing GPU/TPU cloud costs.
Location: Remote work from Pennsylvania, United States. Travel is required.

What you will do
- Define end-to-end architecture for AI solutions, including data pipelines, model storage, inference engines, APIs, and front-end integrations.
- Evaluate and select LLMs, vector databases, orchestration frameworks, cloud platforms, and deployment tools.
- Establish MLOps standards for coding, model versioning, deployment, and infrastructure management.
- Design scalable, secure, low-latency systems for high-volume data processing and real-time applications.
- Lead enterprise integration and modernization initiatives, including migration of legacy systems to AI-augmented workflows.
- Provide strategic consultation, lead architecture reviews, mentor technical staff, and present complex decisions to executives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a closely related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in an IT or business discipline.
- Expertise in distributed systems, microservices, API design, cloud-native patterns, and complex data schemas.
- Experience with AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, or GCP Vertex AI, plus Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Knowledge of PyTorch or TensorFlow and deployment platforms including Kubeflow, MLflow, or BentoML.
- Deep understanding of Generative AI, Transformer architectures, RAG, fine-tuning, data privacy, GDPR/CCPA compliance, and AI safety.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree.
- Health insurance industry business knowledge.
- Industry certifications such as Enterprise Architect, Java Developer, DB2, Cognos, PEGA, or project management certifications.
- Experience optimizing cloud spending for GPU and TPU resources.
