Location: UK - Hook (Hybrid - Three days per week in the office). Experience working across different time zones is required.

What you will do

• Lead and inspire a team of engineers, fostering psychological safety, curiosity, and creative problem-solving.
• Partner with Principal Engineers to define and execute the strategic technical roadmap for AI capabilities.
• Establish engineering standards, drive technical excellence, and champion best practices in coding, architecture, and testing.
• Act as technical consultant for product teams on integrations and architectural decisions.
• Oversee build and run responsibilities for Enterprise AI products, ensuring high availability and incident management.
• Mentor Senior and Software Engineers, lead Scrum ceremonies, and resolve complex technical barriers.

Requirements

• Proven track record leading delivery and maintenance of complex software products in DevOps and Agile environments.
• Deep practical experience with RAG, LLMs, and MLOps.
• Expert-level understanding of NLP, Embeddings, and Prompt Engineering.
• Expert proficiency in Python, React, and TypeScript.
• Significant experience with Cloud platforms (GCP or Azure) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience designing data processing and document ingestion pipelines (e.g., Vertex AI, Google Cloud Fusion, Azure Data Factory).
• Deep understanding of SDLC, API-Centric Design, Twelve-Factor App principles, authentication/authorization, and secure-by-design.
• Proven experience mentoring engineers and leading technical teams.
