Software Engineering Manager (AI Performance Testing)

Location: United States; remote role. US citizenship is required by FedRAMP standards, and an in-person interview is required.

Base salary: $140,500–$236,826 USD annually for US-based employees. The role may also include a corporate bonus or role-specific commission and potential equity participation.

What you will do

• Lead the All SaaS Performance and Quality Frameworks team and own its strategy, roadmap, reliability, documentation, adoption, and self-service experience.
• Architect, expand, and maintain reusable functional testing frameworks and performance engineering platforms used by product engineering teams.
• Drive load, stress, performance, and end-to-end functional testing capabilities for distributed SaaS products.
• Introduce AI-assisted workflows using Cursor, Claude Code, Python-based AI/ML libraries, and foundation models to accelerate development, test creation, maintenance, and analysis.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Design, Architecture, Quality, DevOps, Product Engineering, and customer-facing teams to improve adoption and enablement.
• Use data on adoption, reliability, flakiness, coverage, cycle time, and support burden to prioritize improvements and measure impact.

Requirements

• US citizenship is mandatory due to FedRAMP requirements.
• At least 2 years of engineering leadership experience and 8+ years of hands-on performance or software engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Hands-on experience architecting and supporting shared functional testing frameworks, libraries, or services used by multiple product teams.
• Experience building highly distributed, scalable, and available public-cloud systems, preferably on AWS, with deep knowledge of microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools, agentic workflows, human-in-the-loop review, technical leadership, mentoring, communication, and project management.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, scikit-learn, pandas, numpy, PyTorch, and LLM or foundation-model platforms such as Amazon Bedrock or Vertex AI.
• Experience using AI models and agents to improve engineering efficiency, test coverage, and performance analysis.
