UXR (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in New York City with office attendance at least three days per week; remote candidates must be based in North America.

Salary: $150,000–$160,000 annual base salary, plus equity, benefits, and additional perks.

What you will do

• Establish and evolve the user research practice, including research processes, tools, repositories, and roadmaps.
• Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative research throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Conduct interviews, usability tests, concept tests, prototype tests, surveys, diary studies, and customer discovery.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Data to identify customer questions, test Figma prototypes, and inform product strategy.
• Synthesize complex findings into actionable recommendations and communicate insights that influence product decisions.
• Build scalable processes for recruiting users, sharing insights, and operationalizing research across the organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in user research, UX research, product research, or a related discipline.
• Experience conducting research from early discovery through usability testing and post-launch evaluation.
• Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills, including interviews, usability testing, concept testing, surveys, and large-scale data analysis.
• Product design fluency and hands-on experience using Figma to review and test concepts and prototypes.
• Experience partnering with Product Managers and Product Designers and translating findings into product recommendations.
• Strong communication, storytelling, process-building, and decision-making skills in ambiguous environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with fintech, banking, financial services, or products involving sensitive financial decisions.
• Experience working in a fast-paced technology company or startup environment.
