Optical Systems Engineer (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Develop and test optical systems for semiconductor inspection and metrology platforms.
• Perform optical alignment and laboratory testing of optical hardware.
• Build Python scripts for data collection on hirify.global platforms.
• Collect, process, analyze, and present data from cameras, power meters, and other electronic devices.
• Support mechanical integration and collaborate with cross-functional teams in clean-room environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in optics, physics, optical devices, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience with optical hardware projects.
• Optical training or equivalent optical-field experience, including optical alignment and laboratory testing.
• Intermediate or advanced Python or MATLAB skills, with willingness to script in Python.
• Experience with mechanical integration, Zemax modeling, and thin-film coatings.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English and work in a clean room.

Nice to have

• Statistics for data analysis and image-file processing.
• Optical tolerancing and light-source modeling experience.
• Vendor coordination, ordering, and CAD-model review experience.
