Technical Lead (Optical Manufacturing)

Location: Singapore. Onsite role requiring rotating shifts or 12-hour shifts, with overtime as needed.

What you will do

• Perform pre-polishing and final polishing of optical blocks according to process specifications and work instructions.
• Ensure surface finish, dimensional accuracy, and product quality meet customer requirements.
• Set up, operate, and maintain polishing machines, tools, and consumables.
• Monitor process performance and troubleshoot quality or process issues.
• Support yield improvement, scrap reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with Process Engineering on new products, qualifications, process enhancements, and technician training.

Requirements

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in optical manufacturing, lapping, polishing, or precision surface processing.
• Experience with precision optical components including windows, prisms, wedges, lenses, and optical blocks.
• Experience with pre-polishing and final polishing processes.
• Ability to follow SOPs and work instructions with strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with flexibility to work rotating or 12-hour shifts.
