Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist (Manufacturing)

Location: Fargo, North Dakota, United States; on-site work involving facility inspections, audits, and campus emergency drills. Applicants must already be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Conduct workplace risk assessments, hazard analyses, safety audits, facility inspections, and incident investigations.
• Lead ISO 45001 certification efforts and implement an Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
• Design and deliver safety training, coordinate emergency drills, and support emergency response planning.
• Manage hazardous-material handling, storage, and disposal while monitoring waste, air quality, energy consumption, and other environmental performance indicators.
• Maintain regulatory records, advise management and employees on safe work practices, and coordinate cross-functional EHS projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field.
• Experience in EHS management or a similar role in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Experience conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, local safety regulations, environmental protection, waste management, pollution control, and sustainability.
• Knowledge of environmental monitoring tools, industrial hygiene practices, and EHS software platforms.
• Legal authorization to work for any employer in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with environmental sustainability programs and initiatives.
• Certification such as CSP, CIH, LEED, or REA.
