Electrical Engineer II (Data Centers)

Location: Remote within the United States; applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Travel to job sites may be required for site observations and client meetings.

Salary: $92,100–$111,700 USD per year.

What you will do

• Design electrical systems and perform design calculations for data centers, industrial buildings, offices, and other major construction projects.
• Review, sign, and seal project designs.
• Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, record drawings, inspections, and commissioning activities.
• Write and edit electrical equipment specifications and select systems, equipment, and devices.
• Collaborate with internal staff, clients, vendors, and external disciplines.
• Deliver projects accurately, on schedule, and within budget.

Requirements

• 2+ years of electrical engineering design experience in the construction industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience designing power systems for data centers, commercial offices, manufacturing facilities, medical buildings, or other large commercial projects.
• Knowledge of national and international building codes, NFPA standards, equipment power requirements, and large-scale standby and emergency power systems.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, mentor junior staff, and communicate effectively.
• Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, BIM, and Revit.

Nice to have

• Electrical P.E. license or Engineering in Training certification.
• Experience with protective device coordination and arc-flash studies.
• Experience selecting and specifying medium-voltage equipment.
