Senior Category Manager, Chemicals

Location: Titusville, New Jersey, United States of America. Up to 15% domestic and international travel may be required. Remote work may be considered on a case-by-case basis if approved.

Base pay range: $122,000–$208,250 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end procurement strategy for the Chemicals category and manage a team of four.
• Develop and execute short-, mid-, and long-term sourcing strategies aligned with business and supply chain needs.
• Build supplier relationships, guide supplier selection and due diligence, and manage supplier performance.
• Negotiate commercial agreements, oversee contract lifecycles, and deliver cost reductions, cash-flow improvements, and process efficiencies.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, R&D, Legal, and Finance on product launches, sourcing plans, innovation projects, and operational readiness.
• Identify supply, commercial, quality, and regulatory risks; maintain continuity plans and drive mitigation actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
• At least 7 years of procurement or category management experience.
• Expertise in sourcing strategy, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
• Strong analytical, presentation, stakeholder influence, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and analytics tools, with familiarity with digital and AI procurement tools.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and develop others while maintaining strong governance and ethical standards.
