Associate Director, Category Management (Pharmaceutical Procurement)

Salary: $141,500–$268,500 per year

What you will do

• Develop and execute global procurement strategies for the Primary Packaging Injectables category.
• Build annual category plans aligned with business objectives and strategic value drivers.
• Lead cross-functional teams and use market intelligence, analytics, and industry trends to guide decisions.
• Develop supplier partnerships, lead negotiations, and deliver cost savings, process improvements, and innovation.
• Integrate sustainability and ESG measures into sourcing strategies and manage procurement risks and compliance.
• Direct strategic projects from initiation through completion and establish continuous improvement programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, operations, or a related business function.
• Experience leading category teams, working with major suppliers, and reporting to senior leaders.
• Expertise in category management, market analysis, cost and financial assessment, negotiation, bidding, and change management.
• Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, cross-functional leadership, conflict resolution, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred; a master’s degree is preferred.
