Staff People Business Partner (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Pittsburgh, PA or Mountain View, CA; hybrid work with at least 3 days per week in the office. Travel within the U.S. is approximately 10%.

Salary: $133,000–$213,000 per year for Pittsburgh-based roles; $147,000–$236,000 per year for Mountain View-based roles. Annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits are also available.

What you will do

• Lead major People initiatives, including organizational redesigns and specialized talent programs across multiple business units.
• Advise functional and senior leaders on complex HR matters and strategic decision-making.
• Manage stakeholder alignment, executive input, and communication across teams.
• Diagnose organizational bottlenecks and implement scalable systems that improve collaboration.
• Use workforce data to identify talent gaps and lead workforce planning efforts.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, Employee Relations, and other People teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Requirements

• Recognized expertise in HR business partnering and experience leading high-stakes initiatives in fast-paced or technology-focused environments.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including alignment with senior leaders and effective communication across organizational levels.
• Ability to design sustainable solutions that account for cross-functional dependencies.
• Data-informed approach to measuring program outcomes and adjusting execution.
• Proven ability to lead large-scale change and operate effectively in ambiguous situations.
• Fluent English and availability to work from the office at least 3 days per week are required.

Nice to have

• 8–10+ years of progressive HR Business Partner experience in a scaling organization.
• Experience partnering with Director or Senior Director-level leaders.
• Experience owning projects and designing systems used by multiple teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field; advanced degree or HR certification is preferred.
• Technology industry experience and willingness to travel within the U.S. approximately 10% of the time.
