Principal People Business Partner (Software)

Location: Fully remote within the United States, with an option for hybrid work if within commuting distance of offices in Salem, Oregon; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; or Fremont, California. Current authorization to work in the United States is required. Travel: 10–20%.

Salary: $145,000–$227,000 USD annually, plus eligible bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Act as a strategic People partner and trusted advisor to senior leaders across Software, AI/ML, Innovation, and Product Management.
• Translate business priorities and future capability needs into scalable people and organizational strategies.
• Advise on organizational design, workforce planning, team structures, succession planning, and leadership capability.
• Lead talent reviews, performance initiatives, organizational development, and employee relations support.
• Guide leaders through reorganizations, restructurings, leadership transitions, and other complex change initiatives.
• Help evolve People Business Partner practices, programs, systems, and processes as the company scales.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive HR or People experience, including significant HRBP experience supporting technical organizations in a high-growth technology environment.
• Experience partnering with senior and executive leaders in complex, rapidly scaling organizations.
• Experience supporting Software, AI/ML, Engineering, Product, Innovation, or other specialized technology functions.
• Strong experience in organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, change management, leadership coaching, and employee relations.
• Excellent judgment, discretion, conflict-resolution, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-influence skills.
• Must have current authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in both large technology companies and startups.
• Experience building or scaling People programs, processes, or infrastructure in a high-growth environment.
