Maintenance Manager (Warehouse Automation)

Location: Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, USA; similar opportunities are listed in Boston, Massachusetts, and Jessup, Pennsylvania. The role requires work at a fulfillment center and may include weekends, nights, holidays, and travel as needed.

hirify.global operates an e-commerce business with fulfillment centers supported by warehouse assets, production equipment, and maintenance teams.

What you will do

• Lead a maintenance team responsible for the reliability and performance of warehouse assets and production equipment.
• Manage technicians and at least one Maintenance Area Manager while partnering with Operations and other customer teams.
• Handle high-severity downtime events, lead root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead preventive and reactive repairs for conveyors, industrial automation systems, inventory storage solutions, and powered industrial trucks.
• Drive continuous improvement projects targeting injury rates, equipment uptime, mean time to repair, and system capacity.
• Manage capital projects, maintenance procurement, budgets, and third-party vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience leading maintenance or operations teams in a warehouse or factory.
• At least 5 years of experience with material handling equipment, including conveyors and powered industrial trucks.
• Experience using information systems and data to measure and improve key performance indicators.
• Strong customer service and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects.
• Availability to work weekends, nights, and holidays and to travel as needed.

Nice to have

• Master's degree.
• Experience with electromechanical material handling systems, industrial control systems, or electrical systems.
• Experience using a computerized maintenance management system.
