Maintenance Mechanic (Manufacturing)

Location: Lost Hills, California, USA; onsite work with regular in-person interaction and up to 100% of working hours on the plant floor

Salary: $21.65 per hour

Wonderful Pistachios & Almonds operates vertically integrated pistachio and almond processing facilities using advanced sorting, processing, roasting, flavoring, and packaging technology.

What you will do

• Inspect, repair, and maintain facility equipment, building systems, fixtures, doors, windows, and other components.
• Perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, baghouses, air handlers, HVAC systems, and compressed-air equipment.
• Monitor equipment readings, respond to maintenance calls, document work status, and communicate issues to management.
• Perform MIG welding and fabricate or repair small mild-steel parts and components.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, manlifts, aerial lifts, company vehicles, and other maintenance equipment.
• Follow hot work, Lock Out-Tag Out, Job Safety Analysis, PPE, and Good Manufacturing Practices procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED recommended.
• Valid California driver's license.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC and compressed-air systems, facility maintenance, and equipment inspections.
• Ability to safely climb ladders, work at elevated heights and in confined spaces, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Basic computer, reading, writing, math, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Lost Hills, California, including in loud, dusty, hot or cold plant-floor conditions.

Nice to have

• Basic high school reading and writing skills in English and Spanish.
• Experience with MIG welding, facility repairs, mobile equipment, or production equipment maintenance.
