Senior Category Manager, Chemicals

Location: Zug, Switzerland; additional requisition available in the United States. Remote work may be considered case by case if approved. Up to 15% domestic and international travel may be required.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end procurement strategy for the Chemicals category and manage a team of four.
• Develop sourcing strategies, market intelligence, and prioritized procurement initiatives aligned with business needs.
• Manage strategic suppliers, selection and due diligence, performance improvement, contracting, renewals, and amendments.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, R&D, Legal, and Finance on product launches, operational readiness, and sourcing plans.
• Deliver cost reductions, cost avoidance, cash-flow improvements, forecasting, budgeting, and procurement performance metrics.
• Manage supply, commercial, quality, and regulatory risks while driving sustainable procurement, supplier innovation, digital tools, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
• At least 7 years of procurement or category management experience.
• Expertise in sourcing strategy, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
• Strong analytical, presentation, stakeholder-influence, and project-management skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and analytics tools, with familiarity with digital and AI procurement tools.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and develop others in a collaborative, accountable, and compliant environment.
