I&E Technician (SCADA/PLC)

What you will do

• Install, operate, calibrate, test, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and schedule routine maintenance and major equipment repairs.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, transmitters, and other electronic devices using P&IDs and loop diagrams.
• Coordinate daily activities, projects, utilities, and contractors with management and team members.
• Train team members and operators on equipment operation and conduct required safety meetings and JSAs.
• Assist with the design, engineering, and procurement of electrical and instrumentation systems, while recording project activities and equipment serial numbers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months to 1 year of I&E experience and 3 years of oilfield experience.
• Knowledge of SCADA network architecture and local and national electrical codes, including NEC.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurability standards for operating a company vehicle.
• Ability to identify work-related risks and follow all safety and environmental policies.
• This position is based in Midland, Texas, and is not available with relocation assistance.

Nice to have

• State of Texas Journeyman Electrician License.
• PLC programming experience and basic programming knowledge.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
