Senior Design Engineer (Frontend)

Location: Remote across the Americas, APAC, and EMEA

Salary: $220,000 annually plus equity

What you will do

• Translate product design intent into polished, production-quality frontend experiences.
• Move between Figma and code, resolving specification gaps and making design and technical trade-offs.
• Own design engineering work from early exploration through implementation, launch, and iteration.
• Raise the bar for interaction quality, frontend craft, accessibility, responsiveness, and implementation quality.
• Contribute to the design system, component library, reusable patterns, tooling, and design-to-code workflows.
• Collaborate closely with Design and Engineering to build solutions that deliver customer value.

Requirements

• Strong track record building substantial production UI in complex product environments.
• Ability to write clear, maintainable frontend code and reason about state, component architecture, performance, testing, and edge cases.
• Strong design judgment and the ability to make sound decisions when specifications are incomplete or constraints emerge during implementation.
• Ability to balance customer value, design quality, technical feasibility, scope, and risk.
• Clear communication and ownership in a remote, asynchronous environment.
• Ability to understand, evaluate, debug, and evolve AI-assisted development output.

Nice to have

• Experience improving reusable patterns, frontend tooling, and design-to-code workflows.
• Experience working closely across Product Design and Frontend Engineering.
