Staff Frontend Engineer (Customer Experience)

Location: Based at hirify.global' corporate headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, with occasional office attendance required; domestic travel is required.

Salary: $165,000–$200,000 annual base salary; California range: $181,500–$220,000.

hirify.global is developing electrified, digitally enabled rugged SUVs and pickup trucks, including all-electric and range-extender powertrains.

What you will do

• Lead frontend architecture across trade-in, vehicle configuration, finance and leasing, and delivery experiences.
• Build customer-facing interfaces end to end, including UI implementation, API integration, error handling, and production monitoring.
• Own frontend performance, including Core Web Vitals, rendering performance, resilience, code splitting, and bundle optimization.
• Evolve shared component libraries and design systems with a focus on consistency, accessibility, and developer experience.
• Partner with product and design on interaction decisions, author design documents and RFCs, and conduct code and architecture reviews.
• Mentor senior engineers and evaluate practical AI-assisted development tools and practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of frontend engineering experience with staff-level or equivalent technical scope.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Deep experience with WebGL, GSAP, Framer, Astro, React, and TypeScript.
• Experience owning component libraries and design systems, as well as scalable frontend architecture.
• Strong knowledge of WCAG, accessibility, SSR, SSG, CSR, rendering strategies, and frontend performance.
• Ability to lead technical initiatives, communicate tradeoffs, collaborate with design and product, and travel domestically with a valid driver’s license.
