Staff Software Engineer - Frontend

Location: New York, New York, USA; hybrid workplace

Salary: $138,000–$305,000 USD per year, plus equity and possible variable compensation

What you will do

• Design and deliver technology for the next generation of products.
• Lead redesigns of significant parts of the product and website.
• Own core customer experiences, including first-time user experience.
• Architect and optimize high-complexity, high-performance interactive browser applications.
• Coach and develop engineers across experience levels.
• Coordinate technical delivery across teams and guide organization-wide architecture decisions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• 4+ years of technical leadership experience, including cross-team coordination and communication of complex concepts.
• Experience running high-volume experimentation and iteration cycles, including A/B testing.
• Strong UI/UX intuition and experience partnering with product design and product management.
• Experience leading architecture, interaction design, and optimization for complex browser applications.
• Expertise with React.
