Maintenance Shop Tech A (Heavy-Duty Trucks)

What you will do

• Repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel heavy-duty trucks and fleet equipment.
• Diagnose and repair chassis, refuse body, hydraulic, electrical, braking, suspension, drivetrain, steering, and HVAC systems.
• Perform engine repair, diesel fuel-system diagnostics, aftertreatment and REGEN diagnostics, and scan-tool troubleshooting.
• Complete line maintenance, welding, fabrication, inspections, and roadside repairs.
• Identify equipment malfunctions using electronic diagnostic tools and complete required company training.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience working as a technician on heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and perform complex inspections and repairs with limited supervision.
• Experience with several heavy-truck or automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, drivetrains, suspension, steering, or diesel emissions.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications, Class B or higher CDL, and LNG/CNG experience are helpful but not required.
