Vehicle Mechanic (Vehicle Maintenance)

Location: 100% onsite at an OCONUS location; the position is listed under Houston, Texas and is contingent upon contract award.

What you will do

• Use manual and computerized diagnostic methods to identify vehicle problems.
• Plan repair and testing procedures using technical charts, experience, and organizational methods.
• Test parts and systems, including all critical vehicle components.
• Perform basic automotive maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotation.
• Repair or replace worn, defective, or outdated vehicle parts.
• Explain mechanical problems and possible solutions to customers.

Requirements

• Active SECRET security clearance required.
• At least three years of vehicle maintenance experience.
• ASE certifications in the relevant skill areas.
• Technical training with computerized shop equipment and electronic components.
• Experience using traditional hand tools and vehicle electrical schematics.
• Ability to complete administrative paperwork for vehicle repairs and diagnostics.
