Software Engineer/Senior Software Engineer (AI Platform)

Location: Boulder, Colorado, USA; hybrid Flex Work with at least 50% of each quarter in the office or in the field

Annual base salary: $156,000–$234,000 USD for Boulder; $148,200–$264,000 USD for additional US locations

What you will do

• Design and build secure, isolated runtime services for enterprise AI agents.
• Implement deterministic policy enforcement for data, context, tool, and model access.
• Define service interfaces and contracts between maincar, sidecar, and partner components.
• Improve performance, scalability, resilience, and reliability for high-concurrency workloads.
• Develop observability, telemetry, logging, policy decision tracing, and audit capabilities.
• Participate in architecture reviews, production operations, incident response, and mentoring.

Requirements

• Software Engineer: 5+ years of software development engineering experience.
• Senior Software Engineer: 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 6+ years building backend or platform systems.
• Strong experience with distributed systems, APIs, and service-oriented architecture.
• Experience building secure systems using least-privilege patterns and policy controls.
• Proficiency in at least one systems or backend language such as Java, Go, Rust, or Python.
• Experience operating production services with strong reliability, observability, collaboration, and communication practices.
