Junior Buyer (Medtech)

Location: Vista, California, United States; onsite

Salary: $63,000–$83,000 annually, plus eligible bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Place and maintain raw material purchase orders and releases based on planning direction, MRP requirements, Kanban, and purchasing procedures.
• Track, confirm, and expedite supplier deliveries while following up on open orders.
• Escalate delivery delays, material shortages, and other supply risks.
• Maintain material shortage and stock-out reports, including supplier commitments, expected delivery dates, and recovery actions.
• Support supplier onboarding and maintain accurate supplier and purchasing information in applicable systems.
• Collaborate onsite with Planning, Manufacturing, Warehouse, and other operational partners to resolve material availability issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of purchasing processes, purchase order management, and supplier delivery follow-up.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Nice to have

• ERP system experience, preferably SAP, and knowledge of purchasing programs and MRP.
• Experience with supplier management and performance reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers.
