Senior Civil Engineer (High Voltage Substations)

What you will do

• Prepare civil and structural calculations, drawings, and specifications for grading, buildings, foundations, steel structures, overhead conductors, and rigid bus systems.
• Perform conceptual designs for pricing and detailed designs for high-voltage substation and transmission projects.
• Design and assess GIS foundations, including seismic requirements.
• Review and approve external engineering packages and manufacturer technical documentation.
• Verify engineering deliverables against project requirements, customer specifications, governing standards, and constructability criteria.
• Coordinate with design, proposal, and project execution teams, communicate risks to the Project Manager, and support customer meetings.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of civil and structural engineering experience in high-voltage, distribution, or generation applications for utility and industrial customers.
• Experience designing high-voltage gas-insulated substations, air-insulated substations, or mobile substations.
• Professional Engineering License required.
• Extensive knowledge of IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, and ANSI standards.
• Knowledge of StaadPro, SAP 2000, RISA, SAG-10, L-Pile, Revit, AutoCAD, or MicroStation.
• Advanced English proficiency required.
