What you will do

• Provide timely medical direction, opinions, and reasoned forensic analysis for claims files and underwriting applications.
• Assess diagnoses, treatment plans, prognosis, duration guidelines, and functional capacity using medical and related data.
• Consult with other medical consultants to complete whole-person analyses.
• Contact insureds’ healthcare providers by telephone to gather medical information and clarify functional abilities.
• Refer cases for second opinions when required by guidelines and best practices.
• Manage high volumes of assigned work while maintaining strong turnaround times and supporting team workload goals.

Requirements

• Professional degree: MD, DO, PhD, or PsyD.
• Active, unrestricted US medical license required.
• Physicians must hold board certification in PM&R, Internal Medicine, Occupational Medicine, or Family Practice.
• Minimum of five years of clinical experience in a medical specialty.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based corporate environment.
• Ability to mentor colleagues and give and receive constructive, behaviorally based feedback.
