Clinical Associate - Medical Assistant

What you will do

• Support virtual-first clinical programs, including primary care, acute care, wellness, transitions of care, and longitudinal visits.
• Coordinate durable medical equipment, skilled nursing, home health services, laboratory testing, imaging, pharmacy services, and follow-up care.
• Collect medical records, gather information, arrange and confirm appointments, and submit outbound communications.
• Notify members of laboratory results and direct clinical concerns to the appropriate licensed professionals.
• Advocate for members through phone, video, and portal interactions, providing education and care-navigation support.
• Manage a large member panel and collaborate with clinicians, pharmacies, nurses, caregivers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Medical Assistant certification is highly preferred; active or expired certification is accepted. Applicants without certification may provide a medical assistant school diploma and transcripts.
• At least two years of patient-facing experience.
• Ability to work under the supervision of licensed professionals; the role does not include clinical decision-making or activities requiring licensure.
• Strong organization, communication, adaptability, compassion, and empathy.
• Comfort working with members through video, phone, and patient portals.
• Ability to learn electronic health records, Google tools, automated queues, dialer systems, and AI tools.

Nice to have

• Telehealth experience.
• Care coordination experience, especially closing Medicare care gaps and completing preventive health screenings.
• Full bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.
