Showroom Experience Manager (Plumbing)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; daily onsite work at the Merchandise Mart showroom from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with evening events as needed. Limited local travel and occasional out-of-state travel for trainings and trade shows.

Hiring range: $65,900–$103,400 USD annually.

What you will do

• Build and maintain relationships with interior designers, architects, builders, developers, and other commercial specifiers.
• Present hirify.global brands, products, innovations, and services through showroom visits, personal outreach, and external events.
• Provide product expertise, quote support, and service to walk-in and relationship-based customers.
• Plan and implement training events for more than 2,500 influencers annually, coordinating with agency representatives and vendors.
• Track event feedback and sales results, communicating improvement opportunities to internal stakeholders.
• Develop the client base through networking, presentations, meetings, and showroom engagement.

Requirements

• Four-year college degree and approximately 10 years of experience in a similar environment.
• Strong presentation, public speaking, communication, collaboration, and team-building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Publisher.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize customer needs, resolve issues quickly, and work independently with minimal direction.
• Strong customer focus, work ethic, accountability, ethics, honesty, and a positive, outgoing attitude.
• Must work onsite at the Chicago showroom during regular weekday hours and attend occasional evening events.

Nice to have

• Education or experience in interior design or event planning.
• Experience in the plumbing showroom segment.
