Reliability Engineer

Location: On-site in Austin, Texas, at least four days per week. Travel may include up to 15% domestic or international travel. Relocation may be authorized.

Expected compensation: $124,127–$151,710 annually, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Lead reliability, verification, validation, and quality engineering activities for next-generation electromechanical systems and installation platforms.
• Develop reliability strategies, test plans, accelerated life testing protocols, environmental qualification methods, and engineering verification plans.
• Perform failure analysis, root-cause investigations, corrective actions, risk assessments, and FMEA activities.
• Drive Design for Reliability and Design for Quality throughout product development and commercialization.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electronics, firmware, manufacturing, supplier quality, regulatory, and laboratory teams.
• Support new product launches, intellectual property development, and commercialization of energy products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, reliability engineering, quality engineering, or a related science discipline.
• At least three years of experience in product development, reliability engineering, quality engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience with reliability modeling, accelerated life testing, Weibull analysis, reliability growth analysis, or life-data modeling is beneficial.
• Experience with FMEA, fault-tree analysis, risk assessments, Design for Reliability, and qualification programs for electromechanical or industrial products is beneficial.
• Experience with Minitab, JMP, DOE, SPC, process capability analysis, regulatory standards, supplier quality, or manufacturing quality systems is beneficial.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or higher in engineering, reliability engineering, quality engineering, systems engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience with automation, robotics, power-system products, UL, CE, IEC, production qualification, or product safety standards.
